Made in Europe by a fourth generation family manufacturer. Using local oldest manufacturers where Oeko - tex certified linens are produced. Manufacturing all linen goods which are cut and sewing by hand due to most important rule from their grandparents teaching them; none of the machines will change the human-master who adds to linen garment his heart and warmth. Consequently their grandparents believed such linen items made with love, warmth and great attention passed on to customer would make him feel happier and the garment would stand the test of time due to that endless effort and love put into the work they did.

The textile family believes in traditions reinvented as do I. In ancient times people lived closer to nature. They saw a world around them filled with gods, spirits and mystical creatures. They took nature gifts with respect and gratitude, and even daily house tasks had rituals.

Each family made bedding and clothing on their own. Families worked the fields, planted flax and harvested it - it was a tedious process requiring a lot a manual labor. Evenings were spent in the candle light, spinning linen threads, singing and sharing stories.

A lot of effort was put in weaving linen fabric and sewing clothing from it. Locals believed that energy, positive emotions and dreams people put in and experience during the process will be passed to those who wear it.

The extra effort now is the testing. They have been tested for harmful substances by independent laboratories, and certified not to contain harmful levels of irritants, allergens or carcinogens. Suitable for direct contact with the most sensitive skin, even babies and small children.

There is an important difference between whether a product is Oeko-Tex certified vs Organic certified. For materials to be labeled as certified organic the raw materials must be grown and farmed according to strict guidelines and without petroleum-based fertilizers, pesticides and synthetic products. This is just the first step, however, the next level of certification is Oeko-Tex Standard which is to do with how the raw materials are then processed. This considers factors such as the dye that is used, the sewing threads, linings, and prints. If a product is Oeko-Tex certified it is completely free from harmful chemicals and safe for human use. The testing is reviewed annually and completely voluntary.
